Ingredients
1/2package Oreo Cookiesabout 18
4oz.cream cheese
1cupmelting chocolate
Instructions
Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they turn into fine crumbs.
Add the softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs and mix until well combined and held together.
Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your hands, roll the Oreo mixture into small balls, about one inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and let the Oreo balls chill for at least 1 hour.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate until smooth. Using a fork, dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating them fully.
Place the coated Oreo balls back onto the baking sheet and drizzle with some melted white chocolate to Oreo crumble.
Notes
The key to a smooth Oreo ball is getting your cookies crushed fine enough. A food processor is an easy way to achieve this – pulse until you have a fine crumb.
Make sure your cream cheese is softened at room temperature. This will make it easier to mix with the cookie crumbs.
Chilling the Oreo balls makes them hold their shape better while being dipped into the warm, melted chocolate.
When dipping the balls in melted chocolate, you can also use a toothpick, but make sure the balls are properly chilled so they won't fall apart.
If you're planning to drizzle white chocolate or sprinkle some Oreo crumbs on top for the finishing touch, do so while the chocolate coating is still wet so they stay on.
