Ingredients

  • 2 oz. dark rum
  • 4 oz. of pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. cream of coconut
  • ice cubes
  • nutmeg for garnish
  • pineapple wedge or cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut to the shaker.
  • Shake the mixture vigorously for about 20 seconds to thoroughly blend the ingredients and chill the cocktail.
  • Fill a highball glass or tiki mug with fresh ice cubes. Strain the cocktail mixture from the shaker into the glass or mug.
  • Garnish your Painkiller cocktail with a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg. You can also add a pineapple wedge or cherry for decoration.

Notes

  • Want a low-carb take on the Classic Painkiller? Swap pineapple juice with pineapple-flavored sparkling water and orange juice for fresh orange slices. Ditch the cream of coconut for unsweetened coconut milk or coconut cream with your favorite sweetener (like stevia or monk fruit) to keep that creamy texture without the sugar overload.
