Air Fryer Plantains

These Air Fryer Plantains are SO easy to make! Simple, yet versatile. A perfect savory side, or dressed up for a healthy, tasty dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 Large, ripe plantain (Should be mostly black with some yellow skin and soft to the touch)
  • 1 tsp Avocado oil (or any neutral flavored oil)
  • Salt

Instructions

  • Slice the peel lengthwise and then peel the plantain.
  • Cut it into 3/4 inch thick slices and toss with oil and a pinch of salt.
  • Place it in the mesh basket of your air fryer in one layer (important) and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Flip and cook another 5-8 minutes, depending on how soft your plantain is, until the edges are golden brown but the plantain is soft.
  • DEVOUR!

*Note the plantain should be mostly black with some yellow and nice and soft - think about like a banana, so that it's nice and sweet.
