In a large bowl, mix the pre-cooked white cornmeal and salt. Gradually add warm water, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth and no lumps remain.

Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rest for 10 minutes to hydrate the cornmeal.

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Form each into a ball, then flatten into a disk about 1/2 inch thick. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly oil.

The ingredients are cups pre-cooked white cornmeal, kosher salt warm water shredded cheese and  Vegetable oil, as needed for cooking
