In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil.

Remove the pot from heat, add the dried hibiscus flowers and sugar, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Let the mixture steep for 15 minutes.

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, pressing on the flowers to extract as much liquid as possible.
