Welcome to the 2nd of addition of the monthly “Things I love!”
According to that reader survey that we did awhile back, you guys really liked this new series so I will just keep it going!
Without further ado, here are some things that I have been finding neat-o in the past month!
Body Nutrition “Trutein” Protein Powder – I have been eating this stuff for a LONG time. I usually eat their “Cinnabun” and “Pumpkin pie” flavours. How-ev-er, they stopped making pumpkin pie and now they make “Lemon meringue pie.” Oh my gosh guys, it tastes SO GOOD. And it makes the best protein “brownie.” Do you know what that is? Basically, you mix a teeny bit of water with protein so that it’s REALLY thick (like a cake batter) and microwave for about 20-30 seconds so that the bottom is cooked, but the top isn’t. It’s uncooked top is kind of like icing. I do this ALWAYS after my workouts. Love.
Sizzling Chicken Fajita Salad from Iowa Girl Eats – This is my current favorite dinner of all the dinners. Except for my own creations of course 😉 The Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette is serious the bomb diggity. Your face needs to try this guys!
The Ninja blender – So, we just got this. Prior to this I had been using my magic bullet blender attachment. It was a serious WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP. Especially since Mr. FFF LOVES smoothies, and that little guy couldn’t even crush 1 ice cube. I still love it to make my nightly “Cheesecake” though. Anyway, this blender? We saw it on TV and snagged it ASAP. It rocks you guys. It makes smoothies in .000005 seconds, and it even has an AWESOME food processor attachment. If you need a new blender, I HIGHaly suggest it (I’m telling you to buy it.)
Horizon Organic Snacks – We first tried the Cheddar Snack Crackers at BlogHer Food and 1. They are shaped like cow’s heads. Adorable. 2. They are delicious. THEN, I won a snack pack at BHF that also included the Snack Grahams and Cheddar Sandwich Crackers. I lived on Cheddar Ritz Bitz Sandwiches as a kid, so I LOVE that these are organic, and taste better. Also, Mr. FFF is obsessed with these snacks.
THIS VIDEO. Seriously, The Huberoni showed me. It made my life. Watch it.
Shiekh Shoes – Don’t click that link if you don’t want to be parted with your wallet. That is the store that I buy 90% of my shoes from. I have gotten hot pink, green, blue, purple, brown, black and white boots from that website (I am boot obsessed) for 20$ ish each. It’s addicting. You should go look and buy ALL THE SHOES.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) – If I do cardio, it is ALWAYS HIIT. Basically you work crazy hard for 30 seconds – 1 minute, followed by a quick rest (about 1 min or so) and repeat for about 15-20 minutes. I HATE cardio, but this kind of workout is bearable because 1. It’s short 2. You get WAY more bang for your buck, and you get to work out less. In my books, that is a mega win. Check out that article to learn a little more!
Taste of Nature bars – We were able to try these also at BlogHer Food, and both me and the hub-o-rama (a new name!) fell in love with them! They are certified organic, gluten free and non-gmo AND they have real nuts, fruits and grains. There is nothing artificial about these bars and these taste SO GOOD. Plus, the company started in Canada. My <3.
GUESS WHAT, to make this “Things I’m Lovin’” post extra special, Taste of Nature and I have teamed up to give one of you lucky peeps A 12 pack that will include a variety of the 6, delicious Taste of Nature bars available in the U.S., including Brazilian Nut Fiesta, California Almond Valley, Quebec Cranberry Carnival, Canadian Maple Forest, Himalayan Goji Summit and Persian Pomegranate Garden. Yay! Entry is easy! Just use the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck and I hope that you found something new to love!
