Sunday people!
Today, I need your help.
I know we usually reflect on what God has been teaching me throughout the week, so I can share it with you and hope that you get something out of it too.
But, today, I feel dry.
I don’t feel like I have learned much over the past 2 weeks. If you want me to be completely raw and honest, I haven’t even felt like spending time with God lately.
Maybe that’s terrible. But, you know, it’s also REAL.
It’s so crazy how there can be these stretches of time where we feel like we are truly EXPERIENCING God. We look FORWARD to spending time in His word, and we see it come alive in our lives as we learn to walk in it.
And then, even the next day, we just don’t. want. to. Do. It.
This has been me lately. With traveling a lot (I got back last night at midnight from California, and we head to Missouri to buy a house on Friday) and preparing for a MAJOR move, while trying to still work, I’m tired.
I’m cranky. And I just don’t want to read my Bible or listen to sermons or do anything right now. I feel like I only do it because that’s what “good Christians” do, and I am being totally legalistic about it.
It feels bad.
Do you have those stretches too? If we’re being totally honest with ourselves, I don’t think I am alone.
I’m 110% sure that it’ll get better soon, as that is what always seems to happen. But, I’m asking you: what do you do during these times to get you out of the funk?
Any helpful strategies that have worked for you in the past? I would love to hear them in the comments!
Happy Sunday friends!
