I am SO excited to tell you about #mydailysiggis snacking with the help of my friends at siggi’s dairy, and I hope these simple, healthy combinations will make yogurt your new favorite, protein-packed snack!
If you’ve been hanging out around FFF for a while, you know that I like to give you a healthy snack idea each month, one without a complex recipe. More like: “this combo of food is really delicious, it’s ready in, liiiike, 2 minutes and you can eat it to prevent the in-between-meals-HANGRY-YOU from happening.”
Today, we’re mixin’ it, switchin’ it up a little bit.
As they say, variety is the spice of life.
EXCEPT, today it’s more like: yogurt variety is the muscle-building, protein-packed, not-a-lot-of-sugar, spice of snacking life.
Confused? Well then lemme just blow your healthy, clean, and simple-snack loving BRAIN by introducing some of you (I know some of you are already fans!) to siggi’s yogurt.
You MAY remember when I was first introduced you to this SUPER thick, velvety smooth, and INSANELY creamy (don’t even know how they achieve this level of creamy deliciousness, but not complaining) strained Icelandic yogurt , and turned it into breakfast cookies.
But, then, not-a-lot-of-time-to-make-breakfast-cookies-to-snack-on-me entered the scene. And, my peeps? She was HANGRY.
So I decided to try adding a simple topping to my siggi’s and eating it RIGHT OUT OF THE CUP. No baking, no creating. Just a healthy, simple (kind of like the ingredient list!) snack that I can shovel into my face between meals.
You may think being a food blogger and working from home is all Netflix binges and paleo cookies. IT IS NOT. I barely have time to eat a meal. So, this ridiculously packed-with-protein yogurt + a simple added topping is the perfect grab-and-go snack that I can eat in the middle of photoshootin’ and recipe developin’….and WITHOUT ALL THE CLEAN UP. Worst part.
But a fruity-fresh, grass-fed cup of pure yogurt bliss, with just the perfect amount of sweetness and not a lot of sugar? Makes all the dishes go away… Well, until I’m done having my little siggi’s moment and have to get back to real life. #FirstWorldProblems.
Now that you’ve been introduced (if you’re still even here; you may be already perusing the aisles of the grocery store like a girl ON A MISSION, to find some siggi’s), I am going to tell you the top three flavor combos that I have been EXTREMELY addicted to lately:
Blueberry + coconut chips – creamy, bursting-with-berryliciousness yogurt topped with a sprinkle of coconut CRUNCH? Heaven in your mouth.
Vanilla + cacao nibs – I mean, it’s like a chocolate and vanilla twist cone. Minus all the sugar and generally not-so-good for you-ness.
Finally, coconut + almond butter – Think almond joy. Minus the chocolate. And you won’t even be miss it.
Aaaand, that’s it!
2 Ingredients. LOTS of protein. Not a lot of sugar. CREAMY DELICIOUSNESS.
Simple snack satisfaction?
We just hit the JACKPOT.
