Oh. My. Goodness.
Today is a day that I’ve been excited about for a lonnnnng time. Like, months and months and months!
I’m pumped to announce that I’m launching my first e-course: How To Take Dark and Moody Food Photographs!!
GAH. You guys. I have been working on this thang, like I said, for MONTHS and I have been on pins and needles waiting for it to allll come together so that I can share it with YOU!
So, you’re probably wondering what on earth it actually is yes? Let me tell ya:
This course is a series of 3 modules that are going to show you the materials needed, as well as the steps to take, to create those beautiful dark, but still bright, food photographs that are just FILLED with EMOTION. You may have noticed I tend towards those kinds of photos here on FFF, and it’s because I just LOVE to take them. Annnnnd, they’re a lot easier than you think!
I’m going to be walking you through a LIVE (okay well it’s not live when you watch it, it’s pre-recorded. Whatever) shoot and showing you exactly how I use certain materials and where I place them to create dark shadows, while still keeping the food bright and beautiful. I’ll also be walking you through editing in Adobe Lightroom, and you’ll learn my editing work flow, as well as some tips and tricks to put that finishing POP on your photos!
[Tweet “Learn how to take GORGEOUS food photos with The Dark and Moody Food Photography E-course! “]This is NOT an e-book. You don’t just sit down, read it, and then wonder where to go from there. Each module will have various handouts which explains all the key points in the video (because no one has time to re-watch a WHOLE video, just to find that one point they forgot right?) as well as a practical action plan. Which is basssssically your homework for the week. But, you guys, this is FUN homework. No math here. I pinky swear!
You know what you’ll also get when you join the e-course? Access to a super fun Facebook group where you can share what you’ve learned, or talk about what your struggling with! I’ll be there to help out and give advice and so will everyone in the course! Hello awesome resource to bounce ideas off each other along the way!
I do have to say this though: if you’re super new to food photography, and are still learning the basics of how your camera settings work, and the basics of styling/lighting, this course is not for you! The course expects that you know how your camera functions, as it goes more in-depth into the aspect of light control and the finishing touches of editing.
Well, are you as PUMPED as I am? I freaking hope so!
