AND THEN only 4 boards appeared.

At first I freaked, since I have over 80 boards.

Until I noticed that the username was “Caleb Kiser.” And not “Food Faith Fitness.”

What the wha?!

Later on, I questioned The Huberoni as to why he didn’t tell me he joined Pinterest.  He informed me that I am not ever supposed to look at his account because he is going to use it to plan date nights for us.

SO, if I can’t look at it, I figured ya’ll could. And then you can tell me all the cool stuff he is planning kay? Sweet.

So, Follow Mr.FFF on Pinterest

Side note: since I discovered his account, he has been taking our Ipad to bed and searching Pinterest ALL NIGHT. I don’t  know who he is sometimes.

Maybe he was body snatched. It really would explain a lot.

As always, this doesn’t in any way shape or form relate to this Mexican Sweet Potato Fries. But, it was funny.

Now, let’s talk crunch.

My husband recently signed up for pinterest too! It’s so weird seeing his pins on my feed whenever I log on!

Anyway, sweet potato fries are my favorite kind of fries! I don’t mind paying the extra dollar whenever I order it at restaurants. However, your homemade sweet potato fries are much better! That sauce looks so delicious!

    • Taylor Kiser says

HAHA I am glad my husband isn’t the only Pinner!
Mine too, I don’t even really like regular potato fries anymore! Thanks Polly, I think you would love these! :)

Awwwh the huberoni is the cutest :”) That was so sweet of him!
But it’s not nice of you to post a recipe for sweet potato fries when I’ve been craving them FOR MONTHS and I have to see them in all of their deliciousness while not having any UGH UGH – now I’ll have to come over!
Seriously, these look brilliant. I adore all those tips! xx

Taylor, I love sweet potato fries and I cannot wait to try this dip! Avocado + sweet potato is like a match made in heaven. YUM! I’m laughing at your comment “he won’t clutter up your board.” SO FUNNY! I’d be pretty surprised if pinterest showed up on my husbands radar though I don’t think it will anytime soon since I have to keep explaining how it works.

    • Taylor Kiser says

Right! They are the made for each other! Glad you like the combo Bri – thanks! :)
Haha, girl, I thought the same thing…….. You just never know with these men!

These look great! I love the tip of soaking them. I never thought to do that, although I do coat mine in corn starch. I am going to have to try soaking them first. My two year old LOVES sweet potato fries, and he loves dipping them in ketchup, although I think I would like your avocado cilantro dip a lot better than boring old ketchup.

    • Taylor Kiser says

The soaking helps so much, I was surprised!!
Your two year old has amazing taste if he likes the avocado dip over ketchup! I am impressed! Thanks Katherine :)

    • Taylor Kiser says

Haha I didn’t even know mine knew either! So funny! :)
Thanks so much Gayle! You’re always so sweet <3

  5. says

LOL, I’m dying over the secret pinterest account. I could just bear hug the crap out of the two of you.

I HAD NO IDEA I SHOULD PRE-SOAK THEM TATERS! I make sweet potato fried on the reg, and they’re always just meh. These look fantastic and I MUST try them a la Taylor. My girlfriends and I get together every week for #TurkeyBurgerTuesday <- no joke…we even hashtag it. – and we always make sweet potato fries up the yingity yang. They're going to be so impressed by this trick!

    • Taylor Kiser says

Haha! A Julia bear hug would be pretty legit!

YES! It works so well girlfriend, you must try them a la Taylor (love that.)
I seriously am dying over that hashtag. Maybe I will eat a Turkey Burger on tuesday in your honour! 😉

  6. says

I love that Caleb is using Pinterest to plan date nights, that is so cute!

Thanks for sharing such good tips on how to get these babies so crunchy, I always fail at that when making baked fries… corn starch! Never thought to do that, definitely trying this. Pinned!

    • Taylor Kiser says

Haha sometimes he wins…well, alot actually :)

I hope it works out as good for you at it did me girlfriend! Thanks for the love and pinning! :) xoxo

Oh yum, these look super tasty – love the combo of avocados and sweet potatoes!! That’s so cute that your husband has a Pinterest account to plan dates and stuff :)

  11. says

Oh my gosh if my man got pinterest….hell would be freezing over! He just says to make him a board on mine and he can pin to it so he can plan dinner and such. Haha he would get overwhelmed with my amount of pins going on my feed. Oyi,

Now sweet tator fries are a staple in our house. The first time I tossed them in cornstarch, I may have added a tiny bit too much. Total disaster and to this day, they are the only things that I have served him that were unedible. So sad! Im gonna have to retry so I can make this dipping sauce!

    • Taylor Kiser says

Haha I was pretty surprised when my man got one, that is fo sho!
Oh no! You definitely need to retry, because it worked so well for me!! I hope they rock your socks girl!

  12. says

That’s so cute that your hubby has a Pinterest account. I don’t know any men who do. —Most guys I know think Pinterest is dorky. (weirdos that they are) And these fries?! I wanna shove 10 of them in my mouth. STAT. — Golden, crispy sweet potato perfection! And that avocado dip looks totally spoon-worthy. Love these, Taylor! Pinned. 😉

    • Taylor Kiser says

Right?! That is what I thought that he thought – clearly I don’t know him as well as I thought!
Thanks for the fry love and pinning Sarah! You should shove 12 in your mouth…because WHY NOT! 😉

  13. says

Hahah oh my gosh that’s so funny. While my husband hasn’t taken that plunge quite yet, he’s talked about it for home reno ideas and landscaping tips.

Lovee these fries, they DO look SO crispy and sweet and perfect!

  14. says

My husband recently was looking for a recipe (he’s a really good cook!) and I told him to check Pinterest. He sort of rolled his eyes but checked it out anyhow. Then he was on the computer for quite a while. Still on Pinterest. Pretty sure he’s lovin it. Welcome to the dark side, hubsters!

We eat sweet potato fries all.the.time. Love ’em. I love this recipe – I just usually roast potatoes, but I’m totally trying the cornstarch method!! This is revolutionary!!!

And that dip. Yeah. I need that on everything. Ya think it will keep ok in my purse? I need to be prepared at all times!

    • Taylor Kiser says

Haha we really need to hang out and bake and our husbands can just pin away! 😉
You HAVE to try the cornstarch deal Gretchen, I was apprehensive, but it WORKS! And I am totally dying over the purse comment – you crack me up! I think it would totally keep 😉 Thanks lady! xoxo

  15. says

Thank you thank you thank you for showing me how to get baked sweet potato fries so crispy! We make my less-stellar version several times a week. The avocado cilantro dip looks divine, too…. brilliant!

    • Taylor Kiser says

I sure hope it works as well for you as it did me…they were great! You are welcome, and thanks for the dip love! It’s a yummy combo indeed!

  16. says

You are a lucky woman Taylor!! Husband on Pinterest. Planning Dates. Blessings abound!

Never tried the cornstarch – thanks for the tip.

  17. says

  18. says

Haha! I love this post so much! First, the Pinterest discovery (my hubby still doesn’t have an account but will look at mine, lol!) and then these fries – YUM! Love your 3 tips, especially the anxiety attack one! 😉 Thanks for the great recipe and for linking up to Saturday Night Fever! You rock! (and of course I pinned this!) Have a great weekend!

    • Taylor Kiser says

Haha oh one day girl, he will get one!! Glad you liked the tips 😉 and the fries!
